Happy Bear Amigurumi
by Ryoko Kochi
It is a small and simple polar bear with sweater and scarf.
Of course you can make it in any color. I chose these colors thinking about Ukraine.
Finished size:
11 cm(27.9 inches) high and 9 cm(22.8 inches) wide.
Materials:
- 3.5mm hook
- Polyfill
- Stitch markers
- Yarn in white and yarn in blue: I used Drops Cotton Light (off white) and Drops Loves you 5 (blue)(discontinued-I recommend Drops Cotton Light or any yarn you like.)
- Yarn for scarf : I used Hobbii Rainbow Cotton 8/4 (yellow) (I needed less than one skein for each color)
- A pair of 8-9mm safety buttons or normal buttons for eyes
- One safety button for noze(optional)
- Cotton yarn or embroidery thread in black for mouth
Level: Beginner
Notes
I used relatively thick cotton yarns (which are for 4-5 mm hook). The bear turned out solid and stable. If you want to make a softer bear, choose thinner cotton, acrylic or wool yarns.
