HAPPY Cardigan Maxi
The HAPPY Cardigan Maxi is a colourful raglan cardigan with a V-neck, designed to bring as much colour as possible to grey autumn and winter days. It is worked seamlessly from the top down. The neckline is first shaped with short rows for a comfortable fit across the neck and shoulders, before the raglan lines open out towards body and sleeves. Body and sleeves each finish with a 2x2 ribbed hem.
Thoughtful details give the design its distinctive character. The button bands and neckline are worked in double knitting and joined to the cardigan as you go, which gives the edge extra stability and a clean, defined finish. The buttonholes are worked directly into the double-knit placket.
Worked with two gradient yarns held together, the cardigan creates ever-changing colour combinations that blend into one another and keep shifting as you knit – so every HAPPY Cardigan Maxi becomes a one-of-a-kind piece.
The pattern is suitable for experienced knitters. All techniques used in the pattern are demonstrated in accompanying video tutorials. (Mainly narrated in German; cast-on and bind-off tutorials also in English. English subtitles can be enabled on YouTube – see Link 0 for instructions.)
