Infatti nasce dal desiderio di provare la tecnica del “two-end knitting”, che consente di ottenere un tessuto a doppio strato alternando due fili (tradizionalmente da uno stesso gomitolo) ad ogni maglia lavorata. La tecnica prevede che i due fili vengano lavorati sulla mano destra, mettendo sempre il nuovo filo su quello lasciato cadere, in modo che i due fili si arrotolino su se stessi; ma non è strettamente necessario: l’importante è alternare i fili ad ogni maglia, a prescindere da come si proceda.
Il berretto è lavorato dal basso, con un bordo a coste 1/1 e una seguente lavorazione a legaccio.

I wanted to try the “two-end knitting” technique, which allows you to obtain a double-layered fabric by alternating two threads (traditionally from the same ball) with each stitch worked.
