Is it just me or is the wallpaper staring at me? Inspired by the classic creepy decor of a certain spooky mansion that started its life in Anaheim and has since travelled around the globe, these haunted socks will add some creepy cool flair to your feet. The socks are worked top down with twisted stitches and cables. They have a heel flap designed to flow seamlessly into the cable pattern. So get your grim grinning feet out to socialize!

Sizes / Sock Foot Circumference:
Sizes: Small (Medium, Large) / 7 (8, 9)” 17.8 (20.3 , 22.9) cm
Choose to knit a size that has about ½” negative ease.

Needles:
US 1 (2.25mm), 37” / 93cm circular needles or DPNs, or size needed to obtain gauge

Yarn:
Sock/Fingering
400 yds/366 m (425 yds/389 m, 460 yds/421 m)

Sample is knit with Long Dog Yarn Bounce Sock, in the 999 Happy Haunts colorway.

Notions:
Cable needle (or use cable without a cable needle method)
Darning Needle for weaving in ends
Stitch Markers (optional)

Size/Yardage Notes
Cables eat yarn! If you are making the Large size and only have 1 skein of sock yarn you will only have enough yarn to do 1 repeat of the 999 Happy Haunts Chart on the leg, so your sock will have the shorter 3.5”/8.9cm leg option.

Sample shown in photos is Medium Size with the 6.5”/16.5cm Leg.

The pattern is written for magic loop or Addi FlexiFlips, but includes instructions for using DPNS.
