Cosy socks with a cute heart pattern in stranded knitting.

The socks are knit cuff down with heel flap and gusset; the gusset decreases are made in pattern on the sole.

The pattern includes two sizes, women’s M and L to fit leg circumference 19.5 (23) cm 7.75 (9)”. Leg length without the heel results in 17.75 cm 7”, foot length is a minimum of 21.5 (24) cm 8.5 (9)“ when knit as given in the pattern, adjustable.

Please note: the colourwork motifs are charted only and there are no written instructions for the motifs provided.

Material: 2 skeins of fingering weight yarn with high contrast and a yardage of approximately 400 m (440 yds) per 100 g.
Notions: 2 stitch markers, darning needle.


Errata to the pattern as published in Knit Now, issue 69:
The gusset chart is supposed to represent all stitches, but as it is shown it doesn’t take into account that on the instep are hearts, which were started on the leg. These have to be continued as established. In the first four rounds of the gusset chart, from stitches 18-24, the corresponding stitches have to be worked in contrast colour as established on the leg.
