Toying around with charting stitches, I thought this particular pattern rather resembled a martini glass. And when I crocheted it up, it only took me an hour or two. What better name than Happy Hour?

Too lacy to battle the Polar Vortex outside, but good as an extra layer around your neck to stay warm inside, and will be nice for when Spring decides to grace the northern latitudes. :)

Note: As written, and at the gauge I crochet and with strong blocking, my cowl with the pattern as written, is about 20-21” around. For a larger cowl with greater drape, increase the length of the foundation chain, being careful to maintain a multiple of 6. A larger cowl will require more yarn.

(Sorry if the pic appears a little misleading. The best thing I had to pose this on was a little necklace “board” thing. The pattern, as written, produces more of a neckwarmer type cowl. Adding more stitches will give you something bigger and drapier, but will use much more yarn.)

Errata: A modification of this design is mentioned in the pattern. It needs to be noted that, if working flat, the foundation chain must be a multiple of 6 + 1.
