This top-down triangular shawl features a traditional Shetland “small trees” pattern, and is worked flat on large needles with thick yarn. Snuggly and cozy, this shawl can be finished with optional tassels made with any leftovers. The “Happy Little Trees” are a nod to both winter and the late, great Bob Ross.

Due to yarn and needle size, this is a very quick knit and can be finished in a weekend.

Notes:

  • For a loose bind off, pattern recommends a US 17/12 mm needle, but this is optional.
  • Pattern is both fully written and charted.
  • Written instructions are color-coded to correspond with the charts.
