Happy Little Trees is a lightweight beanie that is a great accessory for the beginning of fall when many of us have both hot and cold weather all in the same day. It can be worn with the brim unfolded for a slouchy look, or with the brim folded for a more snug feel. The main stitch pattern is fairly easy to memorize, and I think you will find it to be very satisfying to knit as you watch your little trees grow into a small forest!

I chose Brooklyn Tweed Loft for this pattern and this yarn created a beautifully light beanie that still provides warmth when you need it. The sample is knit in the colorway Plume which is a beautiful color but I found was a little too dark to really show off the stitch pattern. But, I have always been in love with this deep plum color with tweedy pops of reds and pinks and thought it perfect for my first pattern. After all it has been waiting patiently in my stash for quite awhile to become something beautiful and loved.

I hope you enjoy this pattern as much as I enjoyed putting it out in the world! This is my first pattern that I have ever published so any questions, comments, concerns or cuss words can be sent to the email provided in the pattern.

Happy knitting!
