This sweater is a tribute to the women who remained on land while their husbands were at sea. They carried the responsibility, keeping the home together in a life shaped by waiting and uncertainty. These women began a proud knitting tradition of the classic Aran sweaters, where care, meaning and symbolism are woven into every stitch. Knitted in Mashdale and Tilia, it has both a rustic character and a soft lightness that embraces the story of the fishermen’s wives.
