Hat is inspired by sweaters the designer saw on a visit to the Faroe Islands. The colors of wool she used are 100 grams light morrit (natural sheep’s red ) & 50 grams each of dark morrit and white. DK weight/light worsted might be more appropriate to achieve stated gauge.

Pattern Description from Interweave Online Store: “To experience for yourself the neat interlaced patterns, the lovely warmth, and the beauty of Faroe colors, The designer offers you a three-color cap based on Hargard’s sweater. Be sure to finish it with twelve gathers to thwart witchcraft.”
