Harlequin Blanket
Intermediate crochet pattern for a big cozy crochet blanket in a decorative chevron stitch. Three colours of worsted (aran) weight yarn combine for a modern take on a retro crochet throw, big enough for all the family. The zigzag stitch is made by increasing and decreasing, creating a close interlocked stitch without gaps - perfect to keep you warm and add that woven look. The pattern is worked over four rows. I used three shades of yarn, but it would also make a fantastic stashbuster pattern.
I’ve included a handy photo tutorial for the unusual stitches, so that you can crochet with confidence. This is a straightforward pattern once you get started, however I’ve given this pattern as Intermediate skill level for those with some experience.
Finished size: 64” x 47” (160cm 120cm) approx
I’ve also included the stitch count in the pattern so that you can adjust the size of this blanket to suit all ages and sizes.
Materials:
• 800g/1600m/1750yds worsted (aran) weight yarn Mid Pink
• 400g/800m/875yds worsted (aran) weight yarn White

Happy Crocheting!
