This ear-warmer pattern is worked mostly in garter stitch and uses the intarsia technique.
You will work this piece with three different balls of yarn- approximately 20 yards of each ball.
- the edge color (or main color) will be used in halves on either side of the diamond

Remember when working intarsia to cross the yarns on the stitch in which you’ll be picking up the new color. Do this by bringing the color you were working with to the non-working side, then cross the new color underneath. This binds the yarns together.

YOU WILL NEED

  • 3 balls of worsted-weight yarn (roughly 20 yards of each): two of the main color, one of the contrasting color. I used Blue Sky Fibers Worsted Cotton.
  • 2 size 5 mm (U.S. 8) needles
