Harper is a sweet soul with a larger than life personality - like that of a sunflower. Sunflowers appear to be a single large flower, but are actually a composite of many smaller flowers. Harper Blake incorporates purl bumps to mimic the center disk of the sunflower.

Please note that it is absolutely necessary to soak this hat to achieve the correct size and to open up the sunflower lace pattern. If you do not want to soak your hat, knit the next larger size. I designed Harper Blake to fit after soaking, as I love the way yarn feels when soaked, but do not like it when a hat is too big after soaking and blocking.

This pattern has been test knit.
