Classic cabled cardigan knit from the top down in DK weight yarn with applied I-cord button band and optional contrast collar. There is no waist shaping on this garment, but the cables give it an extra-stretchy fit that is comfy—not too clingy—and so forgiving!

Gapping or bunching at the armholes is a common problem for top-down raglans, especially in larger sizes. This pattern includes special instructions to ensure a perfect fit at the arms for your size and proportions, or to size up the pattern for larger than a 54” bust. I guarantee it will be the best-fitting top-down raglan you’ve ever made!

Sizing and yarn requirements:

Pattern provides instructions for sizes to fit 30 34, 38, 42, 46, 50, 54” (76 86, 97, 107, 112, 122, 132 cm.) bust.

** ERRATA **
Instructions: Shoulders and yoke: Row 1, ”mark next st” is missing before the final “p2 (2,2,2,3,3,3).”

Also, the next paragraph says “You will also be following the chart below for the cable pattern…” but chart is missing. Will be included in updated version to be posted 12/20/09.

The original version of the pattern specified the wrong number of body sts to be worked after sleeve separation. Revised version, p. 6, now reads “Work these 182(186, 228, 257, 293, 327, 356)—give or take a couple, if you’ve added extra/fewer for underarms—body sts back and forth in patt as set for 84(88, 88, 92, 92, 96, 96) rows, or to desired length, trying sweater on for size as you go.”

Revised versions are available for FREE to anyone who has previously purchased this pattern. If you have difficulty with downloading, please contact me directly by PM or email: snowdenbecker@gmail.com. Thanks!
