I wanted a wand for my son’s Harry Potter costume this year, but was unable to find a pattern that was realistic enough for my liking.

So, I took to yarn and hook and came up with this! I am so pleased!

The pattern is coming to you free, I ask that you only share the link to the pattern so others may come get their own and I can continue to offer free patterns to you! Please use your own images to offer the items you crochet from the pattern for sale (which you may do!). Please do not sell, claim as your own, copy and paste the pattern!

You’ll need worsted weight yarn, I highly recommend Caron Simply Soft. It is on the thinner side of worsted and works nicely for this!

A F hook and intermediate skills are required. To create the “wood” look and the “craginess” some of the rounds are created somewhat not conventionally. I have explained in detail what to do, so please just pay close attention and you will have your own wand in no time!

Thank you much and please share your projects with me on my Facebook page “Crochetverse”
