A quick and beginner-friendly baby loafer pattern that can be paired up well with granny square cardigans or ‘choose your own adventure’ kind of style.

Time to finish a pair: about 30 minutes
Stitches Used: Magic Ring, Chain, Single Crochet, Single Crochet 2 together, Half Double Crochet.
Hook: 6.5 mm hook (you will need 2.5mm & 5mm hooks if making suede soles)
Extra materials for suede option: natural suede, sheep shearling, leather hole puncher.

As in all of my patterns, it includes instructions for crochet soles as well as templates and video/photo tutorial help for suede/sheep shearling soles.

This pattern includes instructions for Newborn (3.5” soles), 0-6 Month size (4” soles), and 6-12 Month size (4.5” soles). These also pair well with my “CLASSIC” finished suede soles that can be purchased in my Etsy Shop if you are nervous about cutting and preparing your own natural soles.

Flexibility in yarn choices are also key. This pattern calls for any Super Bulky #6 yarn, but I can double strand a medium worsted weight yarn or double up a bulky #5 with sock yarn or thin worsted for an option. (Stay with the same 6.5mm sized hook for these options)

Finishing options are also included. The pattern accounts for an elastic ankle opening, but includes brief lacing, boot or faux fur finishing instructions.

Use 1 colour or up to 3 different colours of your choosing.
