The September full moon, known as the Harvest Moon the full moon closest to the autumn equinox, and it has been celebrated across cultures for centuries. In North America and Europe, the Harvest Moon marked a crucial time for gathering crops before the first frosts, its bright and extended light giving farmers extra hour to work the fields. In many cultures, it also represents abundance, gratitude, and the completion of a cycle — a time to celebrate what has been gathered and prepare for the slower, more inward rhythm of autumn. The yarn and pattern for the socks were created for Yarn Twisters Sock Club September 2025.
