1).The scarf is made lengthwise with more stitches added to some rows to make the ties.

2). Button holes are made with a 3 ch st added to the end of the ties after the scarf is completed

3). Buttons are sewn around the site of the stitch markers on each end of the scarf, that is between the main scarf and the ties

4). The stitch marker is very important as it helps differentiate the end of ties and beg of the main scarf. Can use one stitch marker and move it from row to row

5). Ch 3 will always count as a stitch

6).Sl st in top of each ch 3 of previous row

7). Rows 7 is an incomplete row that ends at the stitch marker and row 8 is the same length. Row 15 is another incomplete row that ends at the stitch marker
