Harvey Gap’s simple knit and purl zigzag motif is completely transformed with the addition of chain stitch embroidery.

Finished Measurements 20¾ (22¾, 23¾, 25½, 28, 30½, 31½)”/ 53 58, 60.5, 65, 71, 77, 79cm chest circumference. Pullover shown measures 23¾”/60.5cm, designed to be worn with 3¼”/8.5cm of positive ease.

Yarn Swans Island Washable Wool DK (100% Superwash Merino), 140yds 128m/1.76oz 50g; Curry 4 (5, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) hanks.

Needles US Size 5 (3.75mm): 24-32”/60-80cm circular, depending on size knit. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Waste yarn for Tubular Cast-On (contrasting color); 5 (5, 5, 6, 7, 7, 8) buttons – size 5/8”/16mm; sewing thread; sewing needle; markers; tapestry needle.

Gauge 22 sts and 32 rows = 4”/10cm in St st; 20 sts and 38 rows = 4”/10cm over Zigzag Stitch Chart.

Notes Pieces are worked flat and then seamed. Read all charts from right to left for RS (odd numbered rows) and left to right for WS (even numbered rows). The collar and Front bands are worked in one piece. Short rows are used to shape the shawl collar.
