In the past few years, social media has grown in importance, and the hashtag is one of the most-used symbol these days. The stitch pattern used in these socks is reminiscent of the hashtag symbol.

The socks are knit from the cuff down. They are worked in mosaic pattern, which means the pattern is worked with one color at a time while the motif is created with slipped stitches. The socks are worked with a heel flap and gusset.

Stitch pattern is both written out and charted.
