This was not my favorite pattern as far as hats go, a little too lacy for my taste, but it is pretty and is quite easy. I actually think the crown treatment would be pretty on another hat pattern and may try that one of these days.

One of the easy things about this is that the “pattern” round (where you do the fiddly stuff like k2tog, yo and SSK) is always the same (at least until you get to the decrease rounds), so you start to get a feel pretty quickly on how to do it. I’ve tried to write out the pattern so it is easy to follow along and see where you are plus you are able to check yourself frequently to make sure you are still on track.
