This hat pattern uses self striping yarn and modular knitting to achieve a unique patchwork effect. It is fun and easy to do and comes in three sizes.

To fit head circumference of approx. 48-51 cm or 19- 20 “ (CHILD), 52-56 cm or 20 1/2-22” (WOMEN’S) and 57-60 cm or 22 1/2- 23 5/8” (MEN’S)

The hat is worked from the bottom up and can be worked flat or partially in the round for ribbing and crown, it’s up to you. Instructions for both are included.

Materials: Up to 100 g of DK (8 ply) yarn, which is self-striping.

Yarn Suggestion: King Cole Riot DK

Knitting needles size 3 mm (US 3) and 4 mm (US 6)

I suggest a 40 cm (16”) circular in both sizes and also 2 DPN’s in the larger size.
