Hatdings is a snug fitting beanie. The pattern comes with 22 different motif charts. There is a motif for everyone.

It is a very quick knit. A day or weekend for an experienced knitter, a week for an inexperienced one. It is excellent if the cold weather sneaks up on you and you need a quick hat, or if the holiday season is closer than you thought and your gift list looks a little daunting.

The small size is about 16”/41 cm relaxed and fits a head circumference of up to 23” comfortably.
Chart Group A
75 yds/69 m brim color
60 yds/55 m crown color
Chart Group B
70 yds/64 m brim color
75 yds/69 m crown color

The large size is about 18”/46 cm relaxed and fits a head circumference of up to 25” comfortably.
Chart Group A
85 yds/78 m brim color
60 yds/55 m crown color
Chart Group B
80 yds/73 m brim color
75 yds/69 m crown color

The A and B refer to the chart groups, you should consult the pattern before choosing yarn.

If most hats fit you easily, you want to choose the small. If, like me, hats perch on your head and you’ve long stopped trying them on in stores and at craft fairs, the large is for you.
