After my last trip abroad, when I had to empty out my neatly packed toilet bag and put everything into zip-lock bags that were provided for screening, I thought rather than worry about this removal and re-assembly, why not just divide my toiletries into zip locks, and then make lovely little ‘airline special bags’ that would hold my zip locks? “Havai Jahaj” is the Hindi word for ‘aero plane’, so the title
now makes sense to you too.
This simple bag can be made in a day, hour, and is totally adjustable for your zip-lock bag. This is also a super stash-buster – the more colourful, the better .. after all, we’re going on vacation !

I’ve made this for my medicines zip pouch that measures 6½” (W) x 3½” (H).

This pattern has been tested using :
a) 4-ply acrylic, Oswal Mills ; 15g / 63 yds each of 2 colours ; 4 mm crochet hook ;

b) Caron Simply Soft Burgandy & Red Heart Super Saver White ; not much each ; 3.5 mm crochet hook ;
