Havskum is the Danish word for Sea foam. Havskum is a long shawl that have longer ends that will drape gracefully around the shoulders and keeps in place without a pin.

The shawl is knitted from side to side. The lace edge at the bottom is knitted on.

As part of the design the ‘wave pattern’ is asymmetric to emphasizes the wave effect of the lace pattern.

This pattern includes directions for a large/long shawl (width: 275 centimeters, Height: 75 centimeters).

The pattern is written for a knitter who is able to keep track of counting (with the help of stitch markers), follow written instructions as well as follow a chart, increase and decrease and knows how to knit a lace edge on to the main body of a shawl (basically pick up stitches and knit 2 together).

This pattern calls for a yarn with a 32 stitch count per 10 centimeters gauge. i.e. a yardage of approximately 185-200 meters per 50 grams.

Materials: yarn, circular knitting needle and stitch markers.

I have a loyalty program where you can choose a free pattern after purchasing my patterns for at minimum of § 25.0.

The pattern does not include finished items yarn etc. The pattern only includes instruction for knitting the shawl.
