Hawaiian Quilt Socks: Angel Trumpet

I love Hawaiian quilts with their beautiful motifs of tropical plants and flowers (and even sea life!). This design takes the angel trumpet flower and translates it into a sock pattern. It can also be used as a snowflake pattern for Christmas socks!

Available in Medium and Large width, this colorwork pattern uses 2 fingering weight yarns on 2 circular needles in a charted pattern. Suitable for intermediate sock knitters familiar with sock construction and colorwork/stranded techniques.

  • Needles: Two circular 2.75mm needles or whichever size to achieve gauge. (I used 2 - 16” circulars)

  • Yarn for Medium: One 50 gram ball of fingering weight yarn in a Main Color, and one 50 gram ball in Contrast Color.

  • Yarn for Large: Two 50 gram balls of MC, one 50 gram ball in CC.
