About This Pattern
The Hawthorne leg warmers were inspired by my first fall living in Portland, Oregon. Having moved from sunny Southern California, I knew little about the power of layering and the warmth that merino wool can provide. These leg warmers highlight the beautiful Chevron cable, and pair perfectly under tall or short boots. They use roughly a skein and a half of worsted weight yarn.

Materials
Suggested Yarn: 1 & 1/2 skeins of Hazel Knits “Tempo” - Hand Dyed Worsted 100% merino superwash (or any worsted yarn of your choice)
Suggested Needle: US 8 DPNS / 5mm (or long circular needle for magic loop method)
Misc Materials: Yarn needle, Stitch markers, Cable Needle, Scissors
Notes
Each row is comprised of two sections: A) The Front (Shins) and B) The Back (Calves). The front will be worked using the pattern on the next page, whereas the back will be worked in broken stockinette (even rows = knit, uneven rows, knit into the back and twist), flanked by two purls at the beginning and end of each back row.
