The main part of this bag is made in one piece from the bottom up, the handles are added then a zip fastener & fabric lining are added.
I have made it several times with different yarns but find that DK/ light worsted weight cotton works best. Gauge is 18 sts x 15 rounds over a back post double crochet fabric. Using the stated yarn the finished bag measures about 10 ½” (26cm) wide by 7” (18cm) high. At the end of row 12 the work should measure 6” (15cm) across to achieve these measurements.

If you don’t want to make the handles, purchased purse handles make a great alternative.

There are photos at every stage to help you & clear instructions for sewing in the zip & lining.

Although there are photos of similar bags about this one is my own design with all the stitch counts, photos, etc done by myself.
