Hazel the Hen first appeared in Kerry Lord’s Edward’s Menagerie: Birds book in 2015, and she has been helping beginner crocheters expand their skills ever since. Did you know that chickens can see ultraviolet light and iridescent hues, making their world more colourful than ours!

TOFT’s Edward’s Menagerie collection is a series of crochet amigurumi toys designed by Kerry Lord. This crochet bird kit contains TOFT’s quality pure wool yarn and an easy-to-follow downloadable pattern. There are video links for all the crochet stitches and techniques used in the pattern to get you started and help you complete your toy. YOU WILL NEED: To complete your crochet bird you will need a few added extras including a 3mm crochet hook, toy stuffing and a wool needle. Find everything you need in our haberdashery section or upgrade to a complete kit which includes all of the above!

MEASUREMENTS: When finished your hen will be approximately 24cm tall from feet to top of comb.

SKILL LEVEL 2: This kit is suitable for enthusiastic beginners or those who have crocheted before.
