I learned that healthcare workers were requesting headbands with buttons so that they could attach the elastics from facemasks to the buttons and relieve their ears a bit. I came across a Ravelry pattern by Lynne Christie called Care Workers Special Headband. Her design looked great, however, I tweaked it a bit to avoid garter stitch (not my favorite) and use up stash of Sugar n’ Cream cotton for a lighter weight, more spring/summer - like headband. I have included two slightly different patterns, one narrower and less “lacy” (11 stitches v. 12). I wasn’t sure if they would be effective, but recently received positive feedback from the healthcare workers at my local hospital. Small thing to do for those who are doing such GREAT things at this crazy time
