The Heart Jar Cozy Candle Cover PDF pattern is available to download for a small price. It includes more high quality photographs and you’ll also receive an image-free printer friendly copy.

This pattern can be made as a decorative storage jar cover or you can pop a tea light inside a glass jar for a beautiful candle cover which gives a dancing display of light.

The pattern is written using US terms and includes a chart to convert into UK terms. I have used photographs to help with instructions throughout the pattern and included a printer friendly version.

If you wish to use as a candle cover, please use 100% cotton yarn to give the best heat resistance and avoid melting of synthetic fibres.

This pattern is written so you can easily adjust the size to fit your choice of jar or other container.

Choose a yarn size and hook to fit your choice of jar, as a guide, I have used Stylecraft Craft Cotton DK with a 3mm hook to produce a height of 7cm and Sugar n Cream Cotton Aran with a 5mm hook to produce a height of 12cm including finishing sc rows. For taller jars, you can always add rows to increase the height.
