Heart Loop Beanie
The Heart Loop continues all the way to the top, creating a lovely, cosy look. The pattern is easier than it looks and fun to knit. You can even add a pompom if you like!
A video tutorial is included so you can see the needle movements clearly.
For a substitute yarn, I recommend using a blown yarn.
Yarn
Drops Air - Pearl grey (03) 2 balls
If you are using a substitute yarn, I recommend using a blown yarn.
Needles
Use 5 mm circular short needles or double-pointed needles as your main needles, and 4 mm needles for the ribbing
Notions
crochet hook around 2.5mm to 3mm, Tapestry needle, 1 stitch marker
Gauge
Pattern stitch (with 5 mm needles)19 stitches × 25 rows
Size
Head circumference:
50 cm depth 26cm
Stitches Used
K: knit
P: purl
Sl: slip stitch
Heart loop stitch
SSK: slip slip knit
K2tog: knit 2 together
C2F: cable 2 front: Slip the next stitch onto a cable needle and hold it in front of your work. Knit 1 stitch from the left needle, then knit the stitch from the cable needle.
Wyib: with yarn in back
CDD: centred double decrease: slip 2 together, k1, pass 2 over
