This pattern is for the crochet poppy flower. The flower petals are made in the shape of hearts.

As an example, I’ve made my poppies in two sizes. Use a larger poppy for various embellishments and a smaller poppy - to make a brooch or a pin.
The larger poppy is made using medium weight #4 yarn, the smaller poppy is made using light weight #3 yarn.

Larger poppy is about 4” in diameter.
Smaller poppy is about 2-3/8” in diameter.
