Unique, fun and full of love describe the Heartbeat Chevron Afghan crochet pattern best. This is such a great pattern to work up in sizes infant to adult. The hearts on this are worked right into the design so you don’t have to worry about stitching on appliques after the blanket section is complete. I love being able to fasten off an afghan and wrap right up in it!
Many stitch placement photos are included to keep the guessing out of the work.

Easily customize to your desired size.

While this design looks best with at least 2 colors, it also looks good in a single or many too.

If you prefer working basic chains, chain the required amount +2, turn, hdc in 2nd chain from hook and each stitch across

Notes:
1. Beginning ch 3 counts as a dc

  1. Photos showing stitch placement are on the last page of pattern and are referenced as P1, P2, P3 etc.

  2. When changing colors, do so in the last step of the last stitch of the row before the color change

  3. Color sections are worked in counts of 2 rows to allow you to carry your yarn up the edge of the throw instead of fastening off each color

  4. Estimated yarn amounts (yards) for various sizes: 30”x35” (335 White, 279 Red), 40”x40” (510 White, 425 Red), 42”x52” (696 White, 580 Red), 47”x47” (703 White, 587 Red), 48”x60” (917 White, 765 Red), 59” x 85” (1597 White, 1331 Red)
