A simple slip-stitch pattern and three colors of easily washable wool-and-nylon yarn create the funky, lovable Heartbeat Mitts. The eye-catching pattern is easy to work, so the mitts are quick and fun to knit. Throw them in the washing machine when they are ready to be cleaned; there’s no need to worry about the mitts felting.

Notes

  • These mitts are worked in the round from the bottom up.
  • Slip all stitches purlwise with yarn in back.
  • Do not break yarn at color changes unless specified. Carry unused color up side of work until it is needed again. Bring new color under color just used.
  • The charts show main color stripes. See written instructions for placement of contrasting color 2 stripes on left and right mittens.
