I have always been a sucker for love, in all of its shapes and sizes. There are so many heart patterns out there, but I couldn’t get enough and wanted to make hearts with even more hearts in it. Thus was born the Heartception Patch!

It can be made with all kinds of scrap yarn! I recommend using the needles and yarn weights below to ensure your hearts maintain the same shape, however feel free to explore needle sizes. The thicker the needle (and/or the thinner the yarn), the more the lace will be visible.

I created this pattern to be able to use these hearts as coasters, necklaces, garment embellishments as well as card ornaments. They’re so crafty and can be used in all the ways! The 3 different sizes also allows for a wider range of usage.

What you will need
• Scrap yarn.
• 3 mm (US 8) circular or straight needles.
• A darning needle.

Measurements
Small Heart: 4 cm wide x 4 cm tall (1.5 in wide x
1.5 in tall)
Medium Heart: 7.5 cm wide x 6.5 cm tall (3 in
wide x 2.5 in tall)
Big Heart: 12.5 cm wide x 11 cm tall (5 in wide x
4.25 in tall)

Yarn and Gauge
I recommend using one strand of lace weight yarn (all the way to light sport weight) of the content of your choosing. This pattern is great for using all of those scrap yarns you may have laying around!

The gauge for this pattern is 24 sts x 34 rows for 10 cm x 10 cm (4 in x 4 in) – in the Little Hearts Lace Stitch pattern (which can be found on my Youtube channel).
