Like the Heartflower Cabled Scarf and Fingerless Mitts, the heart-shaped design is also the theme for these mittens. Using a slightly different design than the fingerless mitts, the mittens have a shorter cuff. They’re great for added warmth when the fingerless mitts aren’t enough. Use a nice Aran or bulky weight yarn to knit these mittens up in no time; and they’re a great addition to the scarf or cowl.

For sizing, one-size-fits-most using US 8 needles with Aran/bulky weight yarn. For larger mittens, use a heavy Worsted or Aran weight yarn with US 9 needles.

The knitting skill level is intermediate and above. Knowledge of cables, yarn overs, knitting in-the-round, grafting (Kitchener stitch), and using double pointed needles is necessary. The pattern is both written (using tables) and charted for easy interpretation. Links to instructional videos are included on the PDF.
