These socks are knitted toe-up. The pattern features a curved line on the toe, derived from ballerina shoes. The foot is made with a gusset and a heel flap construction. The lace pattern on the leg was inspired by the form of an artichoke, as well as each petal.

In the downloadable pdf version, the pattern includes charts and written instructions for the lace and cables sections.
