A sweet little cardigan with a lace heart motif. The cardigan is worked from the bottom up and shaped with decreases around the yoke.

Needles: 4.5 mm circular needle for working flat and in the round, 80 cm length suggested.
4.0 mm circular needle for working in the round, 100 cm length suggested.
Optional- set of 4.5 mm and set of 4.0 mm double pointed needles for in the round on a small circumference.

Yarn: 100 (150, 150, 200, 250)g DK yarn (225m/100g). Note- the smallest size can be made with just under 100g if you match the gauge exactly, you may want to grab an extra ball of yarn just in case.

Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch markers, 4 small stitch holders, waste yarn for provisional cast on, 4 (4, 5, 5, 5) 15 mm buttons, 50 cm grosgrain ribbon with corresponding thread and sewing needle (optional).

Skills: Cast on, working in the round, knit, purl, increasing stitches, provisional cast on, working flat, decreasing stitches, picking up stitches, yarnovers, binding off, weaving in ends, attaching grosgrain ribbon (instructions given).

Sizing: Pattern gives stitch counts for 3 (6, 12, 18, 24) months; approximately equivalent to 40.5 (43, 45.5, 48, 50.5) cm chest circumference. The pattern has 7.5 (7.5, 7.5, 10, 10) cm ease to allow for ease of dressing and a comfy fit over clothing.
