This pattern can be found in issue 8 of Laine Magazine.

The Heather socks are worked in the round and from the toe up, featuring a lace motif that travels up the foot and circles around the leg. They are easily customized to lengthen for taller or shorter socks, if desired, by working more or fewer repeats of the lace chart.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Foot length: Adjustable.
Leg height (above heel): Adjustable (dependent on foot length).
Foot circumference: 8” (20 cm).

Note: To adjust width, increase top and bottom of sock equally. 2 sts = 0.25” / 0.5 cm increased. Work these sts as purled in the leg portion.


MATERIALS
Yarn: 1 skein of Natural Sock by Woolly Mammoth Fibre Co. (50% BFL, 50% cheviot, 437 yds / 400 m – 100 g), colourway Peony Mauve.

Needles: US 1 / 2.25 mm DPNs or circular needles appropriate for preferred method, or size needed to obtain gauge.

Notions: 2 stitch markers, sock blockers (optional), tapestry needle.


GAUGE
36 sts x 40 rnds to 4” / 10 cm on US 1 / 2.25 mm needles in stockinette stitch worked in the rnd, after blocking.
