If you are into retro games, you might know Hebereke. Apparently the original game was released by Sunsoft in Japan in 1991. It was rereleased as Hebereke 2 in 2024. I don’t know anything about it but my oldest son requested one, so of course I had to oblige.

Like usual, I wrote down every stitch I did round by round. I did not take step by step pictures tough. I usually do that when I make a second one to make sure my pattern is correct and I get all the necessary photos for a detailed pattern release. But because Hebereke is a licensed character and this is a one-off fan art item, I do not intend to ever make a second one. But just in case you would like your own Hebereke and have a hard time finding an officially licensed plush to buy, I’m going to share the pattern for free to view and use and also download a free PDF from my website.

I used #4 medium worsted weight acrylic yarn. I used a 3.0 mm hook. I used small plastic eyes with no safety backs like are used for needle felting toys.

Hebereke measures 6” (15.25 cm) tall.

Gauge is not important but make sure you use the appropriate hook for the yarn.
