  • Pattern is for one-size mitts, fitting an average-sized woman palm

  • Mittens use a moderate amount of
yarn: 200gr of yarn (100 of each
color) is enough for making 3 mittens

  • I strongly recommend using magic loop rather than DPNs. The palm section is slightly wider than back section (14sts vs 12sts), but I usually arrange these sections each on its own needle.

  • I generally prefer to use an Italian CO and knit a twisted ribbing (K1 tbl, P1)

  • Make sure you knit through the last stitch of the MC/CC and the stitch wrapped around it both to avoid holes.

  • Make sure to cross the yarn on the border of the colors

  • I also use a nearly invisible increase by Techknitting for the gusset, it looks really neat
