Free hedgehog knitting pattern

This pattern is suitable for knitters with a little experience. Worked flat on 4mm knitting needles, the spikes are formed in Trinity Stitch, and the pattern takes you step-by-step through this project to learn this method of creating textured knitting.

To knit your hedgehogs you will need: A pair of 4mm straight knitting needles, some chunky yarn (we used a ball of Stylecraft Special Chunky in Camel (1420) and Rico Essentials Mega Wool Chunky in Orange (005) but of course you can use any colours you like.) You’ll also need a darning needle, toy stuffing and a pair of 6mm black toy safety eyes. Finished hedgehog measures a pocket-sized 16cm long and 8cm tall.
