Allow your creativity to take charge as you create these chunky Christmas stockings. Gather your yarns together and enjoy seeing how the textures and colours unfold as you knit them together.

These stockings are quick to create, holding multiple yarns together at once and using large needles. Finished off with pompoms or tassels, these stockings make a beautiful decoration whilst also being large enough to hold treasures for Christmas morning.

SKILL LEVEL

Easy. The stockings are knitted flat in one piece and seamed up one side.
The side adds structure and helps the stockings hold their shape.

NEEDLES

1 pair 10mm or size needed to obtain gauge

YARN

This pattern is designed to use multiple yarns held together. Aim for 4-5 strands of yarn total.
An excellent project for using up stash, or go to your local yarn store and enjoy gathering a variety of weights and textures.

A detailed list of the yarns used to create each stocking is included in the pattern + outlined below.
Kits for these stockings can be purchased
from Say! Little Hen here, or use the list as a guide of what to choose when diving in your stash.

• To achieve gauge and a similar look, use a combination of chunky yarn + 8ply/DK & 4ply/fingering.

• I also included a strand of mohair silk in my stocking to add a subtle glimmer ~ using this yarn is optional.

• Be bold and play with colour and texture when combining your yarns.

• Overall, remember to have fun and enjoy creating your own chunky stockings!
