Please note: these are tube socks which do not have a heel as such knitted in but they do cover the heel of the foot.

The original pattern says to use a UK size 6 needle (5mm) but I suspect this is a typo and it should have said size 9 (3.75mm) as the larger size are far too large for both the suggested yarn weight and the number of stitches cast on.
