NOTE
Heide - Erica in German - is a fringed rectangular shawl. Starting from the inside, work the lace pattern back and forth toward an edge. Then, pick up stitches from the cast-on edge and work the lace pattern back and forth toward the opposite edge. Finally, attach fringe to the bound-off stitches on both ends to complete the piece. In the pattern, the cast-on edge is not placed at the very center of the piece, but if you prefer symmetry, you can work the same number of rows on both sides. You can also easily adjust the width and length by changing the number of chart repeats. Feel free to customize it to suit your preferred style.
