Another neckwarmer/cowl - a variation of my Sapphire & Steel Cowl. Easy and quick to make, with Feather and Fan stitch pattern on the outer section.

This would work really well in almost any fingering weight yarn, make sure it’s soft though as it’ll be against your skin. Stripes work nicely with the Feather and Fan stitch - mine is a hand-dyed cobalt blue and black wool blend.

Gauge isn’t really an issue, the ribbing ensures that it’ll be a nice fit around your neck, and you’re going to block the lacy section.

NB - I’ve made a small change to the written pattern on my blog to make the instructions clearer when starting the outer section of the cowl.
