This shawl begins with a square medallion knitted in the round.
Then the two sides, bottom and top edging is knitted from the
medallion stitches in the applicable direction. Top and bottom
eding are picked up and knitted on.

2 skeins of Galler Yarns Prime Alpaca, (660 yds / 603.5 m; 100%
superfi ne alpaca) or DK weight yarn; 1 skein (or approximately
