One size

This pattern is designed to be a bandana, but it is easily adaptable. If you want to make it larger, you must respect the linen knit pattern. Remember that if you make variations in the size of the bandana, the yarn requirements will change from those proposed in the pattern.

Finished measurements (measuring longest side):

Total width (Sides A and B): 50 cm / 19.5”
Total length (Central Spine): 25 cm / 10”

Notes on construction

This charming garter stitch bandana with a two-colour linen stitch trim is knitted in a single piece back and forth and from top to bottom, creating a right triangle with a “vee” effect. The textured dots introduce a very minimal touch of fantasy. Enjoy choosing two vibrant colours to infuse energy and joy or two nuanced colours that make it an everyday accessory.

Needles

Main fabric: Circular needles 4 mm / 80-120 cm US 8/32-47” or 0.25 mm / US 1 thinner than the size needed for the correct gauge.

Trim: Circular needles 3.25 mm / 80-120 cm US 3/32-47” or 0.5 mm / US 2 thinner than the size needed for the correct gauge.

Notions

A tapestry needle, markers and one safety pin are needed to show the right side of the garment.

Gauge

18 stitches x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4” in GARTER ST worked FLAT after blocking.
Being a shawl, the gauge is optional, but it can change your yarn requirements and the final measurements of the garment if not adjusted properly.

Techniques

Long-tail cast-on.
Elastic bind-off (on the WS).

Este patrón está diseñado para ser una bandana pero es fácilmente adaptable si quieres hacerlo de un tamaño más grande, sólo tendrás que respetar el patrón de punto lino. Recuerda que si haces variaciones en el tamaño de la bandana los requerimientos de hilado cambiarán de los propuestos en el patrón.

Medidas finales (midiendo el lado más largo):

Ancho (Lados A y B): 50 cm / 19.5”
Largo total (Espina central): 24 cm / 9.5”

Notas sobre la construcción

Esta encantadora bandana de punto bobo y con remate punto de lino de dos colores, se teje de una sola pieza de ida y vuelta y de arriba a abajo creando un triángulo rectángulo con un efecto de “uve”. Los puntos texturizados introducen un toque de fantasía muy mínimal. Disfruta eligiendo dos colores vibrantes para infundir energía y alegría o dos colores matizados que lo conviertan en un accesorio del día a día.

Muestra de Tensión (Galga)

18 puntos x 36 filas = 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4 ” en PUNTO BOBO tejido en PLANO después de bloquear.

Al tratarse de un chal la tensión no es esencial, pero puede cambiar los requerimientos de lana y el tamaño final si no se ajusta a ella.

Técnicas:

Montaje de hebra larga (Long-tail cast-on).
Cierre elástico por el lado del revés (Elastic bind-off on the WS).
