A simple and classic baby cardigan, hat and mitten set designed for a precious baby.

I am not a pattern designer just some-one who enjoys playing around with stitches and seeing what I can make. If you spot a mistake or have a question please send me a message.

Advanced beginner.

Skills Required.
Casting on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, knit 2 stitches together,
yarn overs, increasing, decreasing and casting off.

Materials Required.
250m DK yarn for the jacket and 100m for the hat and mitten set.
4 buttons for the cardigan.
4mm straight or circular needles, and DPNs if knitting in the round.
Mittens only 3.25mm needles.
Stitch holders for the cardigan.
Darning needle and pins.
Stitch marker, optional but helpful if knitting the hat or mittens in the round.

Finished sizes.
Jacket length from back of neck to hem 25cm
Side to side at underarm 23cm
Underarm length 15cm
The hat and mittens will fit an average baby up to 3 months.

Notes
This pattern is written line by line format and is knit from the bottom up.
I used the cable cast on and standard cast off.
The hat and mittens can be knit flat or in the round.
I recommend blocking before attaching the sleeves.
